Gardening with Pots: April Online Meeting

We can’t meet as a big group this month, but our scheduled speaker, Phyllis Bost, has assembled her presentation into a powerpoint to share with you. All of the photos are potting arrangements designed by Phyllis for her yard or for other people.

To get the most out of the presentation, click on the opening slide, and it will enlarge to fill your screen. To add comments, scroll down to the bottom of the post to find the comments section. No need to add a website, but name and email are required. Your comment won’t be visible immediately if you haven’t added a comment before. Your name must be approved first and then your post and all subsequent posts from you will be visible. This keeps spam off of our website. If you can’t find the comments box, go to the home page. Click on “Gardening with Pots” under recent posts. This will take you to a separate screen, and the comments box will be at the end of the post.

  1. Loved seeing all the beautiful pots and how to do it myself. Thank you for sharing. I am using your suggestion of Torenia for my front porch shade pots.

  2. Great job, Phyllis! We appreciate this! I didn’t even have to take notes! I know I can go back to this to check, just in case I need to!
    You’ve made some beautiful containers!
    Thank You, Cynthia Douglas

  3. Phyllis, I need a thriller plant for a pot on my back patio. It gets morning sun but is shaded by the house by noon, and gets watered regularly. What are some that you have used before? I have Pentas and torenia as fillers.

  4. Oh, so beautiful! Thank you! I think I need to go shopping with these new ideas in mind. I need a thriller for a back pot, too. It is in a somewhat shady spot with a few pink petunias and some a spiller that has small yellow / coral flowers. Any ideas? Thanks again..

    1. You could use any of the same suggestions I made for Anne’s question also shrimp plant or abutilon.

  5. This was great. Thank you. The format enables me to go back and review anytime all the info and photos you included. Stay safe everyone. Louise
