Longtime member Alan Raymond will speak to the Lake Houston Gardeners about plumerias at the monthly
meeting on Monday, April 14. The meeting will begin with social time at 6:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood. The program starts at 7 p.m., followed by a plant exchange.

Alan is one of the original members of the club, and has presented on many topics to the gardeners before. He grows a wide assortment of tropicals and exotics with the help of a large yard, lots of care and a greenhouse.
Plumerias are actually tropical succulents that are native to Central and South America, but their most famous association is with Hawaiian leis. Like all exotic plants, they take some adaptations and special treatment to grow here in Houston, although with a little care they can thrive.
