February Agenda is a full one

The Monday meeting of the Lake Houston Gardeners will be a busy one as spring weather starts to drift into our corner of Texas.  We will be taking Microlife orders, hearing a presentation about Vines from our very own Gudrun Opperman.  Jeanne Street will also entice us into participating in a GardenFest this April.

The meeting will be on Feb 10, 2025, at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church starting at 6:30p.m.

The deadline for putting in your microlife order will be at this meeting.  Please bring an undated check for the full amount.  The fertilizers will be delivered in March when the Opperman’s return from a European trip.  This will probably be our last Microlife sale. For various reasons, the organizers will not be able to offer this discount rate to members again, so this is the year to stock up on supplies.

Jeanne Street will give a brief description of Kingwood Garden Club’s GardenFest, so be held at the Kingwood Community Center on April 5.  It will be similar to the flower show that many members from both clubs participated in, but there will be no judging this time — just pretty plants and flowers.

Our main speaker will be Master Gardener and founding member Gudrun Opperman with a presentation on Vines: Exotic and Native.
