Our first meeting of the Lake Houston Gardeners will be on Monday, September 13, 2021. This will be our 25th year for the garden club, and a great slate of activities is in the works. Along with a list of great speakers, we have two bus trips planned for each in the fall and the spring, and other shorter activities in the discussion stage.
The September meeting will begin with a short celebration of our 25th anniversary, starting with a special cake during the social time beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The featured speaker will be Arborist Brad Phillips, owner of Kingwood’s ArborTrue Tree Specialists. Brad has been in the tree industry for 20 years and has several certifications, among them Board Certified Master Arborist and a board member for OHBA (Organic Horticulture Business Alliance). He has participated in public outreach and educational seminars pertaining to tree care all around Houston.
As always, the presentation will be followed by a plant exchange. The meeting will be held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood.
